Call History
Auto Accident with Entrapment

Members were called to the scene of a reported Auto Accident this morning at the intersection of Cream St. & Crum Elbow Rd.  Shortly after that dispatched updated the location and information on the call, revealing that the accident was at the Intersection of Crum Elbow Rd. and Cardinal Rd. with entrapment by the Town of Hyde Park Police Station.

Members arrived and found 2 cars involved and about a 200 foot distance between them,  with one occupant out of the car ambulatory and the other still trapped in his car.  Members went to work quickly to extricate the victim,  while command ordered up assistance from Fairview FD to help with extrication.   Once members were able to extricate the victim,  Fairview was redirected to assist with the other car & patient.

After all patients were cared for and enroute to hospital, members assisted Police with traffic control and cleaning up the scene to move traffic more quickly through the area.  On scene were Roosevelt 63-16, 63-51, 63-51, and MLSS with 2 ALS units and Faiview 41-11.  Manpower was about 20 personnel from all agencies involved and the road was reopened within an hour.
